I agree with you. That entire tour was really special. I saw one of the shows during that tour. It was incredible! Watching Elvis live in 1971 was something I will never forget! (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/clap.gif)

This is coming out again, but in much better sound and under another name....Madison will present '' One Night Only! '' containing Elvis' inspired, one-time only Boston performance of November 10th, 1971. This show was previously released on disc in 1997 as '' The Power Of Shazam. '' Unfortunately, the sound quality left a lot to be desired, and diminished the impact of Elvis' tremendous effort that night. This is all about to change, as the Madison label managed to recently acquire a first-generation soundboard of Elvis' wild and rockin' night in the Boston Garden. The audio is excellent and will prove to be the best 1971 show ever released, period.
For those who missed ''The Power Of Shazam'' almost nine years ago, this is your chance to finally enjoy a very special night. For the ones who possess the older title, you will not be disappointed by '' One Night Only! '' Source : FECC -------------------- |

Even though I do relish the thought of better sound with these rereleases I wish they would look for new rather than using old, after all they have to be out there somewhere

Batman, i agree with you on other releases, although the BOSTON concert is really a fantastic one and deserves to be released with a better sound

I agree Neil, i would rather have a unreleased bad 1977 show in low quality than something i allready have (shows from 1969 and 1970 is not included in my statement ).
But we must remember that there is probably many guys/girls who never got their hands on this release, this wil be their shot. And it's a very nice show. -------------------- The outer limit of your potential is determined solely by your own beliefs and your own confidence in what you think is possible |

This show has a fine track listing, but imo there are other shows and cd's where he gives a bit stronger and more enthused performance.
Nevertheless, it will be nice hearing it in better sound. |

And a soundboard of another 71 tour show would be even more welcome

And a soundboard of another 71 tour show would be even more welcome Your d*mn right about that ! As far as tracklistings go, this Boston show is perhaps the least intersting from the whole tour. Excellent show though -------------------- "How do I get placed in situations like this? Ah hell, I guess it's all part of showbusiness "~ Elvis in his limo on his way to perform in Omaha, NE on June 19th 1977
