With the release of Elvis On Tour the rehearsals...i have to say that this question became more difficult....

The Jungle Room Session still pips the rest for me. This cd re-vamped my love for late 70's Elvis. In fact opened my eyes to a certain degree....some of the alternate versions on this cd blow away the original release.
Listen to Elvis' vocals on 'Its Easy For You' and compare it to the original version. Man...you can hardly hear him on that :roll:

The On Tour does come very close. Its never been off my player since it arrived....but there will always be a very special place in my collection for The Jungle Room Sessions. This above all FTD's deserves a standard worldwide release....

Will it ever be bettered IMO ? I hope so....thats gonna be a hell of a release though

It's shame the Spring tour cd have bad cuts, and the mix sound isn't good. But I like '77, and I hope to have one day a 2 cds-set from FTD, but without the mix by Tocano.

I don't have all of the FTD releases, so will base this post on only those I own.....But if I had to give up all others and keep only one, at this point, I'd go with "Tickle Me".

These songs all come from Elvis' early 60's Nashville sessions and contain some of my all-time favorite tracks. I don't think I've heard a better sounding Elvis release.....A job well done by the FTD Team.

To me it will always be "Elvis Live On Stage In Memphis"
I think all is perfect on that cd, and i never get tired of it

I remember way back in the 80`s, i got this show on casset tape, and played it over and over again.
I can do the same today with the cd, I`ll get in good mood when i play it

But the "Elvis is Back" cd is right under the Memphis show

Elvis is Back and Elvis Today are imo the best till date !

When you look back at what they have released.....we have been spoilt. I think that The Jungle Room Sessions just about remains as my favourite...but there are so many contenders now. The 7" releases are all good. But some of the 2cd versions have been OUTSTANDING.

I agree that with some recent releases the choosing a "favorite" is pleasantly more challenging.

Anyway, I'll offer my "Top 5" for today, anyway.... in no particular order
