I have recently come across this book which I bought for about $3.

While searching on ebay I came across an identical copy selling for around $8, stating that this edition of the book is quite hard to find.

I'd like to know if that's true or not.

Secondly, those who have already read the book, what are your thoughts about it?

As far as I know Gordon it's not a hard book to find.Mine is exactly the same and Iv'e had it for years just like Neil.

Before you buy check other places that may be selling like items I did a search for this book at Amazon.com and found that there were quite a few of them available unless it is signed by someone important or something like that there should be no reason that it should cost a lot

Yes Brad it's only a different edition.

I didn't buy this book because I thoght it was rare...just saw it and took it.

It was only while searching ebay that i saw an ad saying that particular edition was hard to find....apparently it's not. I'll still treasure it especially because of the Maltese price tag....very unusual to find.

I look forward to read it as I have a feeling it's quite a good book.

this book is a follow up to the first biography by Jerry Hopkins for the period 1935 - 1970; in spite of the first book this book writes in a negative way about the concerts; for sure I don't close my eyes for the dark sides of Elvis but I have the impression that it must be " sensational " saleswise.
