How do u think Elvis's life would have differed if his mom had lived into the 70s like Vernon ? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/undecided.gif)
Do u think she could have slowed the King down from all the touring perhaps been there with him at Graceland, and who knows kept Elvis with us now. Of course that throws up the question of would he have become so huge, so legendary if he HADNT of died ? hmmm ? --------------------   |

Thats really a hard question to answer. Elvis was such a strong spirit and could get anything he wanted, but I do believe Gladys could have possibly been the only one who could've changed his ways, obviously nobody else could. I do think him dying at such an untimely time and at a young age made his career that more interesting and him that much bigger unfortunatley.

Maybe gladys could have stopped all the hangers on elvis came across in his life... i do think she would have made a big diffrence had she been around in the 70s..

Intersting thoughts Denny. I too, wonder if it would have been different had his Mum had lived. Elvis was much closer to his Ma than he was with his Father. Who knows how things would have turned out...I do recall reading that she wasn't very strict with Elvis when he was younger, so maybe she wouldn't have changed things too much (IMG:style_emoticons/default/undecided.gif)

i do think that there were many things that he would have thought twice about or sought her advice and she really was leary of parker much more than what vernon was , along with her having very strong moral charecter she would have steered him in the right direction - now if he would have listened is another story even while she was alive he didn't always listen to her every word but with age i'm sure he would have seen that she ws smarter than vernon and someone he could confide in.
