QUOTE (alo @ Jan 28 2006, 06:06 PM) *
Not a big fan or these type or releases, I have it, just for completeness, in this age of digital music and technology, I'm very big on sound quality a remastering, more for the money, just my opinion though, Al

I listen this album one time in ten years lol (IMG:style_emoticons/default/oops.gif)
Okay okay I swear to try to listen this one again tonight with a book (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mf_bookread.gif)

(Oh rock of ages) Hide thou me

The tltle is often confused with the gospel song Rock of ages but that's a different one.

The orginal version was recorded on 09-03-41 by Chuck Wagon Gang (Columbia 20521).

Other versions:
00-00-60 - Weatherford Quartet (LP);
00-00-61- Blue Ridge Quartet (LP);
00-11-64 - Oak Ridge Boys (LP).

According to the site of Keith Flynn this is a different version to previous releases; this version can also be found on CD Homerecordings & boxset Complete Elvis Presley masters.

I recently discovered an older version as recorded by The Vagabonds in early 1946 (Trilon 114).
