We have just heard the news that Barry (Bazza) has lost his fight with Cancer and has sadly passed away. I don't have any further details at the moment...and the news is only just sinking in that we have lost such a wonderful person and friend.

Barry was one outstanding Gentleman who i had gotten to know over the last few years. Meeting him, along with his wonderful Wife Shannon, and their two boys, was just as much of a highlight when we went to America as visiting Graceland itself. They really are lovely people who welcomed us into their home. We are all absolutely devastated by the news and our thoughts are with all those loved ones that he left behind.

Barry's name will always be a part of this forum as long as it is up and running. He was more than just a friend. He was like a brother overseas and we will miss him so much i can't say. I don't know what i can do as a dedication to him....but i will do something on the forum. I will also do a Radio show in honour of his memory. Swanky 60s style, just as he would have wanted.

We love you Barry. RIP my friend. We will meet again and tour Graceland together. (Something we always spoke about doing someday)

That's sad news.

I was never close with him, but he helped me with a couple of things a looong time ago... around the time I first stepped on this forum. He's also one I remember from even further back when I first started roaming Elvis forums... don't know why but somehow his name in particular got stuck in my head... may sound a bit odd, but in a way, he was one of the 'originals' for me despite the fact that I never really knew him.

Im almost out of words, as I didnt find out until I read his artwork topic Rex posted. Im speechless.


The Barry I got to know was a fantastic person, always super friendly, a great sence of humour, and I consider him a friend, Im glad I got to know him.

I havent really had that much contact with him over the last couple of years.. I was really thinking he was going to beat this. My toughts go to his wife and children..

I am saddend to hear of Barry's passing. While never having the pleasure of meeting him, we did "talk" through emails and postings. May God Bless his wife and family.

This is such sad news to hear. Barry was a true Elvis friend and always there to help whenever he could. He fought a good fight for as long as he was able. He's with Elvis now asking all the questions he always wanted answers to. This has to be such a difficult time for Barry's family and my prayers go out to them. Oh no.. i'm shocked by this "news"..

Poor guy.. Barry was always an upbeat person with the heart at the right place.
Indeed one of the originals is no more..

I always thought he would pull through it again, he was so strong, so strong!!
But i guess that alone was not enough..

I know he liked to be remebered for what he was... i will play his "Fools fall in love" cd today... a tribute to a fine human, a good friend to us all.

Barry will live on forever, that's what he strongly believed... and i know that he will.
God has a good friend with him.

Rest easy Barry, you will be missed strongly...
