Houston Astrodome, March 3 1974 (A.S.) 01 See See Rider 02 I Got A Woman 03 Love Me 04 Trying To Get To You 05 All Shook Up 06 Love Me Tender 07 Johnny B. Goode 08 Hound Dog 09 Fever 10 Polk Salad Annie 11 Why Me Lord 12 Suspicious Minds 13 Band Introductions 14 I Can't Stop Loving You 15 Help Me 16 How Great Thou Art 17 Let Me Be There 18 Funny How Time Slips Away 19 Elvis talks 20 Can't Help Falling In Love 21 Closing riff Another outstanding import from 1974. This time its Elvis at the dome without any orchestra. That alone makes this album a must have. But its surley not the only reason to get Event no.8. This is a top act from the king -------------------- The outer limit of your potential is determined solely by your own beliefs and your own confidence in what you think is possible |

I would probably put this in my top 5 elvis Cd's...it impresses me that much. Very highly recommended....if you don't have it...try and get it....it is outstanding. And is a prime example of Elvis' form in early '74 (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/gunsmilie.gif)

i agree. this is definately a must have. i recomend anyone who doesn't have it yet to try and find it. it's really nice hearing Elvis with just the tcb band. (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/00000407.gif)

Personally i prefer the orchestra with the act since it adds colour...but it is nice to listen to Elvis and TCB Band once in a while.
I feel El does not try to go as high as he could since the orchestra cannot 'hide' any mistakes he might make. Outstanding performance...so grab it! -------------------- I'd rather go on hearing your lies....than smell your armpits son

In fact it is the ES...there`s footage of Vernon sitting on a donkey and the Colonel pulling it. And it`s brightest daytime.
It happened during Fever...on the SB there is no word about this gag..although the footage proves that Elvis was saying something..and the set lists from AS and ES differ...with one song..Sweet Caroline.. -------------------- |
