King Creole Acetates

I never understood the release of this crap and the popularity of the LP and later on CD; the tracks originate from a home made tape with editing songs / working with pitch control to lengthen a song etc from excisting takes and give these fake takes a wrong take number. The only thing you can do with this LP is painting and put it on the wall with a big nail. The CD you can use as an undertaker in the household.

Both editions were counterfeited several times.

There are tributes by several artists and the Elvis' songs are:

LP Oh happy day

The LP was released in 1991 on the label TCB rec. 970-8-14; the source for the LP was a thirtiest or more generation of an audio tape which runs too fast.
the cover is from TTWII.

The LP is one of the most worse sounded import LP's; paint the LP in gold and nailed on your wall or throw away the LP; in my list nr 1 of bad LP's.
The show however is very rare and very good with some one time performed songs like Folsum prison blues/I walk the line; available in very good sound on import CD Man in white vol. 3 and other import CD's,

I came across this 45 rpm picture disc with a 13 minute portion of the Madison Square Garden Press Conference. I have no information about the release but because it is available complete and in better sound elsewhere I don't look for more details.

Suspicious minds b/w Funny how time slips away.

The single was released in 1978 on Rooster rec. 45-5001.

Funny how time slips away is the undubbed master (07-06-70);

Suspicious minds (entry 156 in the bootleg book) is not a version from 18 feb. 1970 but it is the same version as released on the 4 LP set Behind closed doors. This is the wrong dated 16-02-70 midnight version.

According to the site of Keith Flynn: Suspicious minds is recorded 22-08-70 dinner and spliced with an unknown second part of the song. This acetate was created on 16-02-70!!
