My Latest Purchase in the off topic with no Elvis items please.
Items to include would be CD's / DVD's and books.

My latest purchase is the Jeeves and Wooster Complete series on DVD.
I bought this set from the new Woolworths on-line shop.

What oh?

Attached File  874469_DV_M_F.JPG ( 4.82K ) Number of downloads: 0

I also bought the triple Sinbad DVD set.
I thought there was only one DVD for a moment and later found it had 3 DVD's.

It's not THAT good Donna..
The setting is right,the costumes too,acting is decent,even the story is 100% good...it's pretty filmed..

But Germans who speak perfect English?
Nope,dat does'nt sounds right.
It's hard to believe the actors in the character their playing because of that.
I never had the feeling i was watching the real event.
From a historical point of view is that a big letdown.

Movies like this should stay factual(certainly in language)
Perfect example was the brilliant "Der untergang".
German actors bring to live what was history...

It started in German Johan. I think that they did that bit quite well. Changing to English, but at the same time, realising that it was indeed German they were speaking. It is a good film. We bought it a few weeks ago. But nowhere near as good as it is made out to be. Cruise is excellent though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/notworthy.gif)

Didn't think much to it to be honest..( Valkyrie). I agree Tom Cruise is good...but it wasn't as good as i expected it to be. Agree with Shaun about the German bit...they kinda got around that at the start of the movie by starting in German and blending to English. Worth a watch i suppose...but nothing that special.

12 rounds starring John Cena ( WWE fame ) was pretty decent. Nothing brilliant...but an enjoyable action movie. Also enjoyed Inkheart.....but i must admit..no movies i have watched of late have been anything other than ok. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/undecided.gif)

My latest non Elvis purchase are;

I have been buying John Wayne DVD's lately.
Especially the degastini collection or whatever is going new and cheap.

Recently I bought a John Wayne double DVD set The Comancheros/The Undefeated and The Quiet Man, Rooster Cogburn, Rio Grande, Fort Apache and The Big Country.

I use to throw away the cases as they do take up space but I miss looking at the cases. I am buying some DVD's for back up copies with cases.
Now all I need is some furniture to keep the DVD's.

My latest purchases;

I finally got The Omen Pentology DVD set at Morrisons for £7.99.
Very good value for money.
It's the 30th Anniversary edition.
The Omen 1,2,3,4 and the remake of The Omen 1.

I also bought the Hellcats of The Navy DVD.
The only film with Ronald and Nancy together.
That cost £2.
Morrison's has cheap DVD's at the moment.

There is baskets of DVD's you have to sort if you want any.
I wish they would stack them for easy search.

My latest purchases;

DVD Films;

A Bridge Too Far
Gone With The Wind
The Longest Day

I am collecting my collection again and keeping the cases this time.
After Christmas I hope to buy a bookcase for storing DVD's.
Although DVD 's look better with the cases it does take up room.
I could do with a bigger storage room for my CD / DVD / Books.
