Of course it was an excellent performance.
I honestly didn't notice that big of an improvement in the sound department that everyone made such a big deal out of and it didn't live up to expectations I don't think. Still an essential release not to be missed by any means imo. |

I've added a sample to hear it for yourself.
This is since it's first outing a favorite show for me. The original 2001 release became an instant favorite, My expectations where high for the "new" version. This is a fantastic show, but the improvement is not that much.. Maybe a bit,but the hype created on this release is not worthy. A fine cd,good booklet, great show..but not that much different to the original. -------------------- |

I'm one of those people that think that the sound upgrade, although not as big as expected, is indeed very noticable. They indeed created a good stereo image and there is definitely more warmth and depth in the recording. It makes listening to this already great show even more enjoyable !

Pity the sample you chose is just the closing Vamp Chris....would have loved to know how Elvis' voice blends with the rest of the band....it sounds very good so far though

sorry johan i completely missed that first line in your previous post where you mentioned that you'd put the sample.
the mountain sample imo gives a better picture of the feel of the sound....which is much better than the previous release to my ears -------------------- I'd rather go on hearing your lies....than smell your armpits son

I think that the sound is improved enough to warrant buying it again. Will put it that way (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/notworthy.gif)

People who never heard this how,SHOULD hear it!!
It's awesome!! It's been my favorite concert since it first came out,and still is!! Played this cd again today, and again, the performance blew me over!! Realy high voltage!! How he prahses the words in "My way',he really lives the song. How awesome breathtaking he delivers "The first time i ever saw your face". A bit spoiled by his reaction to a crowd member, but still the best live version ever, better then the studio thing. After that he goes into "Unchained melody".!! After such an energetic hour he still got breath enough to perform this. He goes out with Tiger man and Can't help falling in love... What a smashing show!! -------------------- |
