I can't agree with this at all, the sound is VERY good!!
It's almost as good as the next days show(and that sounded almost like a soundboard!!).
I guess that the same people taped both shows at the same way... it's very good for a tour audience-recording. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif)

While I have never heard this particular concert, I understand the show was very good. In fact, this particular tour was solid all the way through. I understand that vocally Elvis was strong and the set lists were varied and quite good. As I recall, this tour also has Elvis singing "Just Pretend" in a couple of shows.

The tour was very good, and he sounded very solid M.M.
He did sing "Just Pretend" on the 18th date in Hawaii.
I give you the song below.

The tour was a perfect closer for what is been my favorite concertyear: 1972.

All the shows where of high standard and focussed on singing.
Enjoy!!

WOW, thanks JohanD. I almost like the song line up of the last two shows in Hawaii better than the song line up for Aloha.

There's also a nice re-release with enhanced soundquality from Touchdown named "Downtown Long Beach" from the show on November 15, 1972.

It's indeed a very good release Joern, specially since the original is nog longer available, it's a nice alternative for sure.

Great show idd.
But it's a pity IMHO that Elvis didn't include more tracks from this set in his Aloha show...
