As some of you may have noticed I'm now working on German singles in the discography section.
http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/index.php?showforum=252 The German singles are a little special to me, for they were the first singles that I got my hands on when I started collecting. Here in Denmark we had around 30 singles in the years 1958-1965 that were actually pressed in Demark. The rest were imported from Germany. Many of the Danish pressed singles even came in German sleeves. Like in many European countries, the amount of singles released was much higher than in the USA. Some came in sleeves that were identical to their US counterparts, while others were totally different - and there are some real pearls among them!

I regret that now for sure, but luckily I have been able to replace some of them along the way. Hi Hounddogman,
Great to see the German singles and info of the songs in this forum. I collect these singles too. I'm also interested in the labelvariations. In the magazin Golden Boy Elvis is a section in each issue where all variations of a single is shown. Are you going to add the German singles released in the 50's |

Too bad he's not on the board anymore. Colonel Snow is ? He seems to know a lot of the German vinyl also. If someone is interested, I can post some labels to the singles and some other covers. |

I'm regular on the board; when I found interesting information about a song - labels etc I'll add that info to come to a reference book. (see the US single-LP section)
I'm not an expert on the differences in labels for USA-Germany or any other country. colonel snow -------------------- |
