Just awesome....is all i can say about this. Very pricey...and some of the pictures could have been put together much better ( some very small....some duplicated and some annoyingly put spread across pages ).
It does contain some fabulous shots and the CD is great
One of my favorite from the FTD series. Th booklet is nie but as Chris said quite a mess. But the tracks on the cd is worth every dime imo.
Elvis at his very best pure and sinple.
This is also a MUST HAVE FTD Book incl. CD.
The greatest surprise is this one:
Ghost Riders In The Sky (15.07.70)
With Elvis in very good mood and Quality.
Not off mike like the Boot Version
thank's for the info nightrider. i don't have this one yet but i will hopefully add it to my collection in the near future
Here 2 pictures form the book
Not much to add except, the book and CD were awesome. It is hard to imporve upon perfection!

This is the best of the three, I think, but like the other FTD releases, extrememly over priced, I have the cdr's of these releases, unless they lower the price, I stick with those! I've have seen the books though, the sound is great on the cd's and I always love those alternate takes, I'm also parital to TTWII, Al
The Way It Was is a fine FTD release, but I just don't like the way they made the book... they could have done a better job with it. Like Chris said, some of the pictures are very small (screen captures) and some of them are put spread across pages... I think there's even a couple of photos twice and a few reversed ones....
But the CD definitely makes up for those "mistakes". Elvis rockin' on the rehearsals and live on stage. It's DYNAMITE!
ghost riders in the sky is a doctored version; the off-mike version is stripped and the vocal is recorded over the off mike version to improve the sound.
