I think we should all just be happy that the footage is coming about for us to own. I've seen quite a few clips recently of the outtakes of "On Tour" plus a few from ttwii and what I have seen so far is brethtaking, to say the least. I'm just happy to get this material, be it bootleg or officialy, it doesn't matter to me. You know I have footage where it just looks like Elvis is a little dot because it was filmed from so far away from him, but I still keep it. For the simple fact I love collecting rare footage of Elvis. I am one of those who will buy anything if it appeals to me. I don't care if it's first generation, second, third or 10th. It all just depends if I want it or not. Anyhow, I've said my 2 cents about this whole subject.

I think MGM are probably looking at the cost of cleaning up the material they have and how much the package will cost to get a DVD on the shelf. At the end of the day they are a business and if there is no profit they will just leave it alone (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) there is a limit to how much they can charge or the public is willing to pay (Not The Fans who are prepared to pay whatever the cost).
Looking at the quality of the outtakes it might be a big job, one they are not prepared to take on? They need to get there skates on to cash in on the momentum of Elvis' current popularity and commercial viabilty built up over the last 12 months. Matt |
