The wonderful " and the grass won't pay no mind"......what a track and a performance by Elvis. Listen to the original and then see just how much Elvis adds to this track.

Bruce Springsteen He was as big as the whole country itself, as big as the whole dream. He just embodied the essence of it and he was in mortal combat with the thing. Nothing will ever take the place of that guy. |

Very difficult, one of my favourite albums. Have gone for "And the Grass..." just a stunning song and the life Elvis gives to it is amazing. Elvis might have come before MTV but the way he does it you can see every scene he sings.
FTD treatment for this must be a must - unless it has been already? -------------------- |

I picked "Inherit The Wind"
This one of my Favorite Song on this album and if you listen real close to the start of the song you can here someon in the recording both doing a count off for Elvis to come in. but you have to put your head phones on to able to hear it. |

"Without Love" gets my vote, but there's so many great American tracks on this album... (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif)
