R&B superstar Ashanti has told how she is a fan of Elvis and would like to record a
duet with him!

In a radio interview, Ashanti was asked about what CDs she has in her collection
and she responded with "Right now I am listening to Elvis Presley's Live From Las
Vegas CD. It's cool and I really like his music. It's funky!"

The sexy singer went on to say, "I just did an episode of the NBC hit show Las
Vegas and it got me to wondering what his live shows were like so I got it and I
think he was great live! Not like Sinatra or Wayne Newton that's for sure! Very
funky and Rock n' Roll!"

When asked if she considered herself to be a fan of Elvis, Ashanti replied "oh
yeah, who isn't. The man was a genius and so fine".

Ashanti has yet to visit Graceland but hopes to go one day soon and when she is
on long road trips during tours, she watches Elvis' DVDs. She also said "Elvis has
always been in her parents house when she was a kid growing up".

When asked about the rumour of a duets album of the top female singers in
today's music scene with Elvis and could there be an Ashanti/Elvis collaboration in
the near future? Ashanti replied "Wow, that sounds great! But who knows. It would
be amazing to be asked to sing on record with such a legend. Yeah, I'd have to do
that!"
