 Down in the Jungle Room  Group: Special Members Member No.: 3 Joined: 27-May 05 Posts: 2,322 From: Way out in the woods "Norway" ;.)  |
This weeks picture is again a well known photo for the photo collectors.
The photo was taken backstage in Nassau Coliseum, before the matinee show, June 24th, 1973. A group of Fans from Norway meet Elvis before that show, Pål Granlund, Yngvar Holm, Per Granberg, Erik Lorentzen and a woman I cant remember the name of now, think it was Kari.... and Im to lazy to look it up (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rubberface.gif) The last 8-9 months I have become very close to Erik Lorentzen, we have traded 1000 s of scans, and this scan comes from him, so this scan should come from the original negative. I hope you all will enjoy the picture, and lets hope we get more sun over here in Europe NRD.COM --------------------   |

YNGVAR HOLM also produced an Elvis book called. ELVIS pA Kloss Hold in Norwegian with Colour & BW pics - including this weeks Picture. Pal Granlund, meet Elvis Six times, and has pictures from 5 of the meetings. A series of pictures from Backstage Nassau Coliseum was printed (BW) in VOLUME ONE of Pals.... ELVIS MINNEALBUM a Hard Back Book of 1000 copies only -Printed in 1977 (before Elvis died) This picture shows. ERIC LORENTZEN on the right (Kiri on the Left)

A fine shot indeed, and yes, there were many photos snapped during the meeting, but Kenny's weekly picture is definitely the clearest I've seen of them...
shows off Elvis' suit really well. ...and something I just noticed... is the guy on EP's left (under the watermark) holding a video camera? |

so yes Kenny your picture this week is the best I have ever seen it also. The other 7 pictures from this meeting I have only ever seen in Black and White, do you know if they are in colour also ? This is the other Four....

Erik Lorentzen just told me that it was Eriks camera Per Granberg is holding in his hand, and Erik was filming Elvis under the meeting, but the film turned out very dark, it was good when somone took photos with cameraflash, but that was only a splitsec and it was dark again. -------------------- |
