It's an original IC shirt so that means it has been manufactured by the same company who manufactured Elvis wardrobe. But it does not automaticly means it's worn by Elvis or even comes from his closet. It's highly possible that the shirt once belonged to someone from Elvis' inner circle or that a fan had a little more money to spend than most of us and ordered a shirt from IC. They did not exclusively work for Elvis. If you take a close look you will discover that the shirt has no Edwardian collar which was a trademark for all Elvis' shirts and jackets.

i guess it's the High collar which was characteristic of all of Elvis' shirts in the 70's...am I right Leroy?

and this raises a question....can we call the jumpsuit collars 'Edwardian'?

Guys, I made a terrible mistake by using the term "Edwardian Collar". It does excist but not on Elvis wardrobe.
The right name should be "Napoleonic Collar" and was introduced by Napoleon. It was also a fashion in the Southern parts of the USA during the period of the Civil War.

All jumpsuits, except one, have Napoleonic collars. The exception is the "White Cossack Top Jumpsuit" from 1970.

That's right Susan. It's my believe that up until the August 1970 the shirts were just with a regular collar (as were the four or five shirts he wore during the rehearsals)
One of the first one with a Napoleonic Collar was the flower shirt he used during the rehearsals on August 4. After that every new shirt had a Napoleonic collar. And it was not until 1972 he started to wear shirts with a Paisley motive.

If this on the photo is your'se you must know it a real shirt,

"It is a Paisley shirt from 1970 that was worn by Elvis. It was custom made for him by I.C. Costume Company in Hollywood (see label !) and it is also signed on right front (Thank you very much - Best Wishes - Elvis Presley)."

found this on the net, with just the same photo's you have,
But this is from Jürgen's collection.

I met Susan on October 23rd at the Elvis Meeting in Rotterdam where she showed the shirt to Butch Polston. It's not certain Elvis ever wore this shirt but it is an original IC Costumes shirt. Butch recognized the fabric and could even tell what kind of sewing machine was used by the stitches it made. The shirt was probably a part of his private wardrobe.
