Funnily enough that is one of my favourite movies. Scrooge with albert Finney. I recall watching it as a kid...and have watched it every christmas day for years. Its weird as its not really my type of film...musical and all that ( except for Elvis of course )...but i just love this one (IMG:style_emoticons/default/notworthy.gif)

My Jeeves and Wooster Collection order is finally on its way.
I had the despatch confirm email this time.
My computer was off-line for 10 days after I ordered this but that should not hold up order.
It did not say subject to availability at the time of order.

What oh, what oh as Wooster would say.

I finally received my order today.
This is a digitally restored set
This has 8 DVD's with all 23 episodes of Jeeves and Wooster series.
It's not a big bulky collection but has a slender case.

A pity all Elvis's 33 films was not in slender package.
This would be a lot better storage.

My latest and last on-line purchase before Christmas;

The Fighting Seabees,
Wake of The Red Witch,
True Grit,
Yankee Doodle Dandy.

These I bought at The Factory shop (formerly Woolworths).
Three Coins In The Fountain,
Mosquito Squadron,
A Bridge Too Far,
The Big Country.

Plus Casablanca at Morrisons.

My film collection is growing by the year.
If I had the money I would open a cinema.
Would people be interested in old films today?

Must be - or they wouldn't have transferred them to DVD - they only pick the ones they think will make money - took a long time for most elvis films to be transferred to dvd.

Would watch Wake of the Red Witch, true Grit, A Bridge Too Far & The Big Country - not familiar with a few of the others

I don't think youngsters of today would watch the films I collect.
They are mostly into Harry Potter, Lord of The Rings and chick flicks as they call it.
The film makers like to keep old films available on DVD and in better print.

With 4 days left before Christmas day. I am hoping to receive my last 3 purchases by Christmas Eve.
I can't see it happening. It would be good if they did arrive by Christmas Eve. I would open parcels on Christmas Day.

I don't know if the 2 Laurel and Hardy sets I recently bought are from the big boxset.
Can anyone confirm this, please.

I nearly forgot this;
I received my order, James Cagney boxset this afternoon.
Might be lucky to see all orders before Christmas Eve.

My Christmas has come a little early today.
The rest of my purchases arrived in my post this afternoon.
The Yankee Doodle Dandy DVD was posted on the 11/12/09.
That took 12 days by air mail.
Not too sure if was duck mail, he, he.
That is quick from South Korea.

I had four packages today including the Elvis DVD Collection.
I have not taken the seal off the DVD's.
Leave that for Christmas Day.

The titles for the Humphrey Bogart set are;
Casablanca - 2 discs
The Treasure of Sierra Madre
Highe Sierra
The Maltese Falcon - 2 discs.

Plus DVD extra's.
