Hi Chris.
to me this is one of the best soundtracks Elvis ever recorded, and i think Elvis like it also.
I have the 1997 version of Blue hawaii,
i have play both cds the bmg and ftd version.
to let you know i like the ftd sound much much better and even clear sound i have heard in
years.
I cant waite for them do gi blues another great soundtrack.
Wonderful release. One that i wasn't really impressed about when it was announced. But i take that back now. Superb sound !!!
Worth the coin, just to hear the build up to ROCKAHULA BABY!
Sound/Mix makes this a must have = A1.
GOT MY COPY THE OTHER DAY, A GREAT SET WITH SUPERB SOUND, VERY IMPRESSED, GI BLUES PLEASE BOYS.
IMHO, an amazing release! I have always liked the Blue Hawaii soundtrack, but this FTD release makes it even better. The out takes and alternate versions coupled with some of the studio banter is enjoyable. Maybe it's just me, but ever since I was a kid, if I was feeling a bit down, I would listen to Blue Hawaii and it would cheer me up. This FTD release does the same thing!
Elvis' voice post army was awesome and he really seems to be having fun with these sessions.
