The same was earlier released with the name of One Night In Portland!

Memory have done a good job in bringing a better sound to us from this good audience recording. This is one was the most exciting shows i've ever heard.

the concert was first released on LP in 1985 " One night in Portland " ( label POR 8570);
in 1991 released as part of a 2 Cd set " Storm over Portland " (label Live Archives 1010/1012) together with 27-04-73 Portland concert;
the version on CD Storm over Portland has the 20-08-70 D version of That's all right;

in 1991 later on released on CD One night in Portland (TCB records);

I don't have this CD to compare but I think the version of That's all right is not the original as on the Lp.

The sound is simply amazing on this release to be an audience recording. Agree Gordon, one of the most exciting shows I've heard in a long time!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/notworthy.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/notworthy.gif)

The LP was incomplete with You`ve Lost That Lovin Feeling, Suspicious Minds missing.
On the CD releases Storm Over Portland and One Night In Portland they were included but all three releases (LP and CD) had That`s All Right taken from 20.8.70 DS as released on A Dinner Bell In Vegas or A Dinner Date With Elvis.
This Memory release features the complete show as it was performed in really good sound..one of my faves..

I agree complete Cisco,the Memory label worked very hard to present an average tape to be heard in decent sound.
The show is excellent,the presentation of the cd also.
The definitive outing of this much coverded show is to be found on this cd.(Unless a SB comes along... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/whistling.gif) )

Gave this show a listen last night,the improved sound certainly makes for a listening pleasure and the fact it is the complete show is an added bonus.

I did however find the show was slightly rushed,not because Elvis seemed bored,in fact the opposite as his mood is very upbeat and he has some fun moments with the audience and band members,but to me some of the songs seemed rushed through and of these Sweet Caroline and The Wonder Of You stand out the most.

The bonus track of after show comments reveals the recorder of the show was stood next to a speaker during the show and he was worried the loud volume would have affected his recording (no worries there as we get to hear) and that a woman sat next to him had give him her address and phone number to contact her so she could buy a copy of the tape (possibly the tape used on earlier bootlegs of this show?).

The rest of the bonus songs are slightly odd as they are taken from Vegas 21 Aug D/S,i would have preferred songs from other dates on the tour such as Tiger Man,Trying To Get To You and Blue Christmas but maybe the sound put them off.
