Once again Memory records deliver the goods.
To me this is a 100% new show!! Can't beat that!!
The soundquality is pretty good too, altough there is (female) chatting throughout the performance.
A shame that "Heartbreak hotel" and "The first time i ever saw your face" are not totaly complete, but we get a good portion of it.
The setlist is very strong, Elvi sings with power and clearly delivers a stunning dinnershow!!
It must be said that i'm glad that this label has a hired a very strong designer and it shows, that's another highlight, and altough some pics come from the Vegas '74 winterseason, they fit in very well.
A good, fine sounding and looking cd for te collector among us!!

There are better sounded shows from that season available; this Memory release is not as good as previous released by this label.

That depends which ones you are referring to. Memory have released worse than this before IMO (IMG:style_emoticons/default/undecided.gif)

I have a CDR from this show (perhaps taken from an earlier tape?) that is better sounded; Memory records is not a bad label but it can happen that they release a concert from a bad tape.

Thanks for your kind words regarding my work Johan (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif) I was very pleased to help them out...although it was rushed a little more than i would like, i was happy with the outcome. I hope to get more work from them in the coming months (IMG:style_emoticons/default/undecided.gif)

As for the content, its ok. As most of you will already know, i am not really an audience recording man...i prefer to hear the top quality stuff...but i didn't think this was that bad. No..i probably wouldn't play it again for some time...but thats because its an audience recording and not a reflection on the show itself... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/undecided.gif)

Thanks Phyllis, glad you enjoyed it!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif)

@ Chris: Credits is there when it's deserved mate, i'm glad you have finaly made the cd-making stage!!
It's about time a label noticed your classy works and designs, hope too many more from you!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/notworthy.gif)

There are indeed better sounding shows then this one, but it thinks it's listenable for certain.
We can understand every word of it, + to me it's a "new" show.
Other then the "Long lost home recordings" (wich is not EP but an impersonator) this label had no crappy cd's released.

@ Henk: On this cd small portions of "Heartbreak" and "The first time" is missing,(i guess tape turning) does your tape have them complete?

This one is nothing to rave about. The artwork doesn't fit the content (pics from 1974), the sound is average and the set list doesn't include anything that cannot be heared elsewhere. The concert itself is quite good, even though Elvis doesn't include TROUBLE or MY BOY. It's the usual stuff, well sung, but nothing we don't already have.

Looking at and listening to this release made me feel traveling back to the 1990s. A booklet of four page, photos that don't fit the content and an audio quality, that's miles away from the top notch audience recordings like YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE, ROYAL GAMBIT IN RICHFIELD or THE REQUEST BOX SHOWS.

That's to me the main selling point, and the quelity is not THAT bad, it's very decent.
You can't compare it ofcourse with the titles you mention, that's a fifferent league, but it's nowhere nere the bottom of bad-quality sounding shows.
