colonel snow: do you know when this one came out? It has not caught my attention so I'm a little late and without a good answer. I've have not seen this version but Welcome home LP with Frank Sinatra show came from early 90's. It was out my interests because I had it in good sound elsewhere. colonel snow -------------------- |

It's great to browse again through this great collection.
Those covers, the labels, so very vintage! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool2.gif) I have two lp here that are not listed, but i'm sure Dennis will have them.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif)

From me to you is a poor Lp; on the other hand the Standing room only LP is excellent with tracks from On Tour which are only available here. Never been released on CD with the 09-04-72 eve show are I got a woman/Amen & You gave me a mountain in true stereo.

Never been released on CD with the 09-04-72 eve show are I got a woman/Amen & You gave me a mountain in true stereo. colonel snow Yes Henk, "From me to you" is rather crappy. Essepacially side one is "amazing." Overdubbed studiosongs with applause, just to "fake" it. A few songs on side two are "real" but can be found elswhere.(altough i don't know the source dfrom the audience recordings) At the time when i bought this, there was no info at hand, other then what was printed on the cover. Once home it was a huge dissapointment... but i'll keep it for collectors sake and the stuning cover!! Here's an overview of what's on it. Side 1 1-Early morning rain-The Elvis in concert from 1977 version with overdubbed aplause(Falsly staded as august 1974) 2-Big boss man-The studioversion with overdubbed aplause(Falsly staded as august 1974) 3-If you talk in your sleep- 4-Hawaiian wedding song-The Elvis in concert from 1977 version with overdubbed aplause(Falsly staded as august 1974) 5-And i love you so-The Elvis in concert from 1977 version with overdubbed aplause(Falsly staded as august 1974) There is some talking edited at the beginning. 6-If you love me, let me know-The Elvis in concert from 1977 version with overdubbed aplause(Falsly staded as august 1974) 7-Green grass of home-The studioversion with overdubbed aplause(Falsly staded as august 1975) 8-Young and beatiful-The studioversion(from 1957!!) with overdubbed aplause(Falsly staded as august 1975) 9-Untll' it's time for you to go-The studioversion with overdubbed aplause(Falsly staded as august 1974) Side 2- 1-Heartbreak hotel-A movierip from TTWII 1970(falsly staded as 16-2-1972) 2-Don't be cruel-audience-recording-staded as live version from 21-2-1971 3-That's alright-videorip from the 1968 comeback special. 4-Hound dog-audience recording staded as august 1972, a real cool version!! 5-Lawdy miss clawdy-Movierip from "On Tour" from 1972, so from Hampton roads. 6-See see rider-Movierip from "On Tour" from 1972, so from Hampton roads. 7-Love me-audience recording staded as august 1972 8-It's now or never-The Elvis in concert from 1977 version with overdubbed aplause(Falsly staded as august 1975) 9-Love me tender-Movierip from "On Tour" from 1972, so from Hampton roads an ther places, includes te noises from the movie like the dog and girls voices!! Side one is crappy, side two at his best reasonable. The "Standing room only" lp is a real highlight, from beginning to end, the best sounding "On tour"audio product!! Even the numerous cd's never came close compared to this album, a treasure. Here's the detailed (fake) backside from the "From me tou you" album. This is great stuff to read on this forum guys!!Please continue!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif)

My pleasure Dennis, it's just a small piece of your great topic.
Looking forward to the comming import book too, should be good, those behind it know their stuff!! Do you have these two books on import vinyl? "Jailhouse rock" is the best so far, reviews and opinions by the authors. From the dark to the light" is an Italian effort with just frontcovers and small bits of info. Both are however incomplete, black and white printed and with some errors, but when interested in this part of the fandom, very nice to have.

I've thrown out my collection at the time the LP From me to do; fake tracks etc. And this was not the only one.
Cadillac Elvis & Elvis is alive and well singing in Las Vegas (later pressing) and a few more are in the same catagory. colonel snow -------------------- |
