This is the audience recording of a fine show. Elvis puts on a very few rare versions for 1977. The "You better run/Bosom" segment is out as soundboard bonus on the 1972 "i'll remember you"show by Rock legends. Here we have the complete show in decent sound, not the greatest, but certainly nice to be heard. The label GROTI in the 90's is known for this kind of recordings...basic booklet, basic audience sound of rare live recordings. And it's one of the most lovely pics used on the front too!! Wonder what happened to these labels...they gave us great stuff before soundboards came aong... A show for the collectors,a fine reason also that Elvis could still deliver magic if he wanted too!!

Had this one ( and numerous other audience recordings) and sold it some time ago. Always on the look out for another copy...no luck so far though. Do recall it being reasonably entertaining..considering that i am not a huge fan of audience recordings.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/undecided.gif)

I wish you luck i finding a copy Chris, took me a few years and a fairly high price.
But i'm happy i found it at last!! It's indeed an entertaining show, one that is often overlooked!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/notworthy.gif) -------------------- |

In the years around 1993 - 1996 the Groti label besides labels like Stage Entertainment - Claudia - Chips - Sundial released a lot of audience recordings on CD. It's a pity that they have not used early generation copies of the cassette tapes. Perhaps they were not available in Germany??
Most of that kind CD's run too fast by copying source tapes twice as fast as normal. I know that in later years tapes can be improved on PC. The JR label released great audience recordings in these years. Through the years I've transferred my cassette tapes with concerts to CDR and they sound better than CD's from these labels but I've traded early generation copies from original tapes in the 80's. colonel snow -------------------- |
