The chautauqua (march)
1959 – manuscript based on novel written by Day Keene & Dwight Vincent titled (The) Chautauqua (part 1 – 217 pages / part 2 – 181 pages) The song The chautauqua is written by Randy Starr for the movie “The chautauqua”. The demo is sung by Kenny Karen but not used because the title of the movie was changed into “The trouble with girls”. (see upcoming Randy Starr CD's) Another selected version was written by Buddy Kaye and Ben Weisman for the movie. Demo was sung by Glen Campbell (see box 24) Elvis never added his vocal to the instrumental track as recorded on 23 october 1968. This song is registered at ASCAP with publisher Gladys Music. colonel snow
