Elvis' 3rd album and the first movie to have an Lp release. Loving You. Released: July 1957. Favourite Track ? For me, sadly it doesn't come from the movie, thought it was a close thing. I went for "I need you so". Still, to this day remains one of my favourite Elvis ballads of all time. Remarkably sung, Elvis showing that he could not only sing Rock n Roll like no other....but ballads too. (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/notworthy.gif) -------------------- |

I voted for I Need You So too.
I love this version. One of Elvis's best early romantic songs. -------------------- Frank

Got A Lot O' Livin' To Do gets my vote on this album......A perfect example of 50's Rock N' Roll/Rockabilly......FANTASTIC!!
It was a hard choice between this and the other all-time classic, "Mean Woman Blues"!!!! -------------------- "Government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem" -Ronald Reagan (Jan. 20, 1981) |

True Love: Just fantastic, when I hear it I want to close my eyes and just smile and listen, beautiful lyrics shows Elvis's maturity with ballads so soon so well.

It's tough to pick just one song from this great album. Some fine rock 'n' roll and some of his best 50's ballads. "I Need You So" is high on my list as well, but I have to say "Got A Lot O' Livin' To Do!". It's pure dynamite! Elvis' finale performance of it in "Loving You" was probably the closest Hollywood ever got to showing the real rock 'n' roll rebel in all his greatness...

This is an awesome album. The original is awesome and the FTD is also done well. A tough choice, but I selected Got A Lot-a Livin to Do. This is a great rocker from the '50s. My only regret is the Elvis never did this one live in the '70s, to my knowledge.
