To be sure, the sound is less than perfect. However I like this release for a number of resons. Since Elvis sang these for himself in private, it lets us know the kind of musical interests he had. It sort of lets us see the "real Elvis" off the stage, out of the jumpsuits, and not in the studio. It lets us see a bit of what he really liked and perhaps, even where he was in his thoughts at that paritcular moment.
