Frank you're a man of my own tv taste, because I really enjoy watching those classic tv shows from the 50's, 60's, and 70's (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
I recently picked up the season 4 DVD set of Mr. Ed, plus Season 1 of The Rockford Files. I'm hoping they'll release the old Casey Jones tv series from the 1950's on DVD. I can remember as a kid watching those reruns on tv after school. -------------------- "I'm gonna leave your head like the shape of a stamp" |

I received my High Chapparal and The Baron DVD series order today.
I had to watch a few episodes of The High Chapparal as I missed this great series. I am sure you recognise some of these characters of the High Chaparral. Some of the first episodes were 30 minutes playing time. homepage__Large_.jpg ( 185.68K ) Number of downloads: 0 Another great series from the 60's/70's was The Baron with Steve Forrest. Don't know why this series was stopped. imagesbaron.jpg ( 12.81K ) Number of downloads: 0 I just watched an episode of The Baron tonight. I think it's a American version of The Saint. Similar sort of storylines. -------------------- Frank

Yesterday I watched some episodes of The Baron series.
The theme music has always been a favourite. One of those catchy themes that stick in your mind. I also been watching some of The High Chaparral series. I always thought the theme music to this series was a cover of Telstar by The Tornados. -------------------- Frank

This week on ITV 4 Batman and The Fall Guy have a re-run.
2 more of my favourite shows. The tv programmes of today are nothing like the 60's and 70's. -------------------- Frank

Last week I started buying the Dallas DVD's.
Tonight I watched 2 episodes from the 1st season. What a pleasure it was to watch this programme again. On th 2nd episode Southfork had snow. I thought Texas never had snow. Don't know if was 1978 or 1979 winter they had snow. -------------------- Frank

Last I watched the Dallas episode Bypass.
This was about Jock Ewing having a Bypass operation. No sooner Jock had his bypass operation he let out to go home in a wheel chair just after his op. I don't know how long a time passed between the operation and his going home time. A bypass operation does not heal that quick. Did the script writers get their facts right about this? I understood bypass operation takes a long time to heal. -------------------- Frank

The last few Saturday evenings I have been watching 2 episodes of Dallas.
Some of the early episodes I don't remember watching. I was surprised on how short Lucy Ewing was, even she was a little raver. Most of the Dallas DVD's I have now are on Region 2. I also have been watching some episodes of The Fugitive, Alias Smith and Jones, The Rockford Files and some of The Incredible Hulk series. -------------------- Frank

You can't beat old TV series for pastime viewing.
I watched another 4 episodes of Dallas on Friday and Saturday. Yesterday afternoon I watched 3 episodes of Bonanza. I never get tired of hearing the Bonanza theme music. -------------------- Frank

This morning I received the Thunderbirds box set.
This is a book type of box. At last I could read the titles is in English. According to release date this was released in 1999. I don't think it is digitally remastered. I have not watched this series for awhile and thought the theme music was a little different. Might be because it's not remastered and don't sound so loud. I watched the first 2 episodes. I always loved the theme music to this series. -------------------- Frank

I bought a new set of High Chaparral. A better recordings. My Bonanza box is just about full. I don't know if the whole series of Bonanza will be released with this collection. There is 14 years of this series. I just found this site for watching High Chaparral http://www.ovguide.com/tv/the_high_chaparral.htm -------------------- Frank

Today I received The Rockford Files Complete series plus movies set.
This is not a official release. This is like the High Chaparral set recorded on Sky TV. The quality is good so far and there is a menu for the episodes. I know it's better to have original studio release but some are too expensive. This set comes from MyOffer site and it took a week to receive this order. -------------------- Frank
