in my opinion the date is wrong.
it should be 6 may 1975 as before the closing song Can't help falling in love Elvis announced his coming concert of the following day. the date 7 may 1975 was the last concert of this tour and you don't announce a concert on your last day for the next day. meanwhile released a soundboard CD " Keep the fire burning " with the right date 7 may 1975 and this concert differs from the FTD release. colonel snow -------------------- |

This show is just great, I was apprehensive at first about a '75 show, but he is great form, anmd a very playful mood. The "I Love Little Baby Ducks" part in love Me Tender makes me laugh EVERY time. The set looks more like a 1970 show than a 73/74/75 one. A real fresh set, and in great quality.
A GREAT FTD! -------------------- "He's the original squirrel, man, just outta the trees..."

Although '75 isn't Elvis best year as far as live performances go, it's definitely a return to the joyfulness of the '69 - '72 erea. He seems to be happy and enjoying himself onstage troughout the whole year. -------------------- "How do I get placed in situations like this? Agreed Stefan..even in the December Las Vegas Engagement from '75 he seems like he's enjoying himself..but the shows imo from this engagement there is less play and more singing so to speak. The setlist were incredible. |

Also love the showcases for each band member at the intros, that's cool.

The setlist were incredible. Offtopic: December '75 is my all time favorite Vegas engagement, closely followed by the 2 '70 engagements. Elvis's shows in December '75 were notting short of brilliance (exccept for the December 4th concert) and his voice reached it ultimate top imo (as far as his 'power' singing from the '72 - '77 erea is concerned). -------------------- "How do I get placed in situations like this? Also love the showcases for each band member at the intros, that's cool. At this point they were indeed still very enjoyable to hear. During the course of '76 they became more extended and sometimes even downright boring. That brilliant 'boogie woogie' piano playing from Glen during the introductions is very hard to beat (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/whistling.gif) -------------------- "How do I get placed in situations like this? Offtopic: Couldn't agree more Stefan. Certainly one of my favorite Vegas Engagements also. If you want power, How Great Thou Art from December 13th 1975 Midnight show. Incredible. |

He seems to be happy and enjoying himself onstage troughout the whole year. I say 1975 is in the category as the 1972 performances....69,70,71,72,75...in order are the best imo! The energy was back in 1975 it seemed like Elvis was out to prove he could still rock n roll at 40 years of age. And not only that, he seemed to love the ineraction with the fans more, than it seemed like he did in '73, and '74... |
