I have to confess something..... my first album was one I stole from a display outside a photo store. At least I thought it was but it didn't contain a record, it was only the sleeve. It was an album called "Movie Rocks" which was the German version of "Burning Love and Hits from His Movies".

My first real album was "You'll Never Walk Alone" on cassette.

well since you have confessed leroy, i must confess that i did the same many years ago when i was just a boy, i took the lobby cards and posters from our local movie theatre for 'follow that dream'.
i really didn't know any better at the time
i certainly know better now, but i wouldn't part with them for any money now.

Well, considering how we've all been robbed by the record business during the years, I guess taking back just a little won't harm much...

My first album was a Camden cassette too - "I Got Lucky" bought in the local super market before I even had a record player. When I finally got a second hand one I rushed out to buy the Pickwick releases "Hits From His Movies,Vol. 1" and "Burning Love & Hits From His Movies, Vol. 2". "Seperate Ways" followed soon after. Not even a teenager yet, they were good value for my pocket money.

My first singles and EP's were handed over to me from my father, who was never a fan, but bought a few Elvis records in 1958-60. The singles were "One Night", "Hard Headed Woman" and "It's Now Or Never" and the EP's were "Jailhouse Rock" and "A Big Hunk O' Love" - all German/Danish pressings.

I'm not sure about my first CD, but I think it was "Reconsider Baby".

Hello 'hounddogman'

I can say I paid for all of my Elvis collection and other CD's. Most of my budget albums were on RCA International label. I think the International label was for stereo and Camden was for Mono.
