Now you've seen the line up from laquer to master>>>
lacquer – nickel mold nickel stamper – finishing nickel stamper – silver faced master master is one of the parts (made from laquer) of the production process and should not be confused with a master tape as made in the recording studio. Besides the matrix number you'll see in the lead-out groove A1 or C2 etc and a letter I - H - R A1 = first mold made from first master A3 = third mold made from first master C2 = second mold made from third master Plant identication of stampers I = Indianapolis H = Hollywood R = Rockaway Now dig up into your vinyl and discover which pressing you have. colonel snow -------------------- |
