I would rate both "Writing for the king" and "Rockin' Across Texas" to be the better quality books.
This one sure got a lot of nice picture, and I will enjoy it a lot. Still, the print job is terrible. How they can look past so many errors is beyond me. They better pay more attention next time (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/aggressive.gif) -------------------- |

Some things never change with RCA / BMG. They try to make nice things but failed to improve them. I remember when they put out That's the way it is 3CD set
with those covers. A monkey from Catangha would have done it better. Fortunally the content o those cds was amazing. (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/rockon.gif) |

QUOTE (NightRider @ Apr 13 2007, 09:51 PM) LIVE IN LA BMG 88697 2 Los Angeles, May 11 1974 ES ---------------------------------- liveinla.jpg ( 8.9K ) Number of downloads: 7 ---------------------------------- 1: Also Sprach Zarathustra 2: See See Rider 3: I Got A Woman/Amen 4: Love Me 5: Trying To Get To You 6: All Shook Up 7: Teddy Bear/Don't Be Cruel 8: Love Me Tender 9: Steamroller Blues 10: Hound Dog 11: Fever 12: Polk Salad Annie 13: Why Me Lord 14: Suspicious Minds 15: Introductions 16: I Can't Stop Loving You 17: Help Me 18: American Trilogy 19: Let Me Be There 20: Funny How Time Slips Away 21: Big Boss Man (San Bernardino May 10 1974) 22: Can't Help Falling In Love (San Bernardino May 10 1974) You Can Have Her (audience recording) ---------------------------------------------------- Sound sample : Steamroller Blues ---------------------------------------------------- i really was disapointed with this release, i expected some ex shots , but what we have here are more than 130 pics of substandard quality[fan shots] i expected at least media pics [ along the lines of the pics that were in tunzis highway 51 etc.. THE la examiner had their staff photographer RON GALLELLA at the show and he snapped the usual 3 roolls [all colour] and these have bin in his possession for years-he is still lookin for a buyer to pay the 10.000 asking price- there are about 17 shots of high quality, my fave on page 32, but for me they are to grainy and substandard-just my opinion though. -------------------- |

I like the book. Perhaps not the best, but certainly not awful. For me, the cd is worth the money. I like the performance by Elvis in this show and the sound quality is not too bad either!
