I got the Charro DVD today. I find out it's a different cover to the one advertised. This is a Video International copy. I watched this film this morning. The makers apologise for the poor film quality and it's like watching old spaghetti westerns in black and white. The volume is very good. I don't know if the new Charro DVD is any better but I can watch this version.

Can you post a picture of the cover Frank. Would be interested to see which one they did use. (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/undecided.gif)

My latest items have been books. Got the Elvis Encyclopedia by David Stanley (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/whistling.gif) , Elvis The Rock N Roll Legend by Susan Doll, and Ernst Jorgensen's Elvis Presley: A Life in Music, Complete Recording Sessions. Books is what I'm into buying right now. Can't wait to get these.

Great collectioj you're building up there Brad. Its great to listen to Elvis while reading them. I often listen to whatever era the chapters I'm reading are based on. Can be good to read the interesting stories behind what your listening to, can also lead to questions like "what are you talking about?" when what you're listening to and what you are reading seem at odds. E.g. when I was listening to the Raised on Rock FTD and reading the relevant section in the Jorgensen book.

Nice, Chris.....The Paper Sleeve collection is just about the best in sound, IMO. I have a couple of them, and have bid on Gold Records Volume 4.

Understandable. But i can't resist. Love the sound on almost all of the Japanese releases.

Just need a couple more of the Cardboard collection to complete them. There are pretty much the only versions (of original releases) that i play nowadays (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/notworthy.gif)

Good Times 10 track CD from the Original Elvis Presley Collection.
I have been collecting some of the Original collection but not all of them are available on-line.

My town held a charity book sale last week and I bought three Elvis hardbacks that I didn't already have:
Becky Yancey - My Life with Elvis
Peter Haining - Elvis in Private

and coming more up to date: The Colonel by Alanna Nash

Combined price only £3.80 - so it was nice to get something that didn't go straight on the credit card bill. (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/wiggle.gif)

Just received the book

"For CD Fans Only" by Dale Hampton

Very informative even though most of the information is available on the net
I think it is great addition for an Elvis cd collector (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/king.gif)
