Along the same lines as the Live thread - just one Studio album that you would play someone to show Elvis' class !!

Mine - well as hard as it is. I think i would go for Thats The Way It Is.

Bruce Springsteen
He was as big as the whole country itself, as big as the whole dream. He just embodied the essence of it and he was in mortal combat with the thing. Nothing will ever take the place of that guy.

I would play Elvis Country. It shows the versatility of Elvis from Snowbird to rearranging a whole brand new Whole Lotta Shakin, I Really Don't Wanna Know What a classic album.

Now...thats a good "un".

But in the end i would pick ELVIS IS BACK,for so many styles of music on this LP and of course the 45"s that were done on these sessions as well.

I would pick Elvis Country.

From bluegrass, rock n roll to beautiful country ballads.
This was Elvis's best studio album of the 70's.

Very hard to pick only one album. But, if you can only play them one...i guess that i would go for From Elvis In Memphis.

Elvis Country,TTWII,Elvis Today, Elvis Is Back ! and Promised Land, i would consider them all should i want to play someone an album......but From Elvis in Memphis has long been my no 1 album. So..i guess i would look no further than that
