I'll probably buy it if there will be a 'second pressing' aka. cheaper version.

As much as I'd want to see the book that comes with the limited edition version, I'd rather not fork out some 750 euros + possible custom taxes because of it. So the possible 'stripped' version is for me... and I sure hope there WILL be improvement in sound if I decide to buy it as I have a feeling that even the 'second pressing' won't be too cheap...

I mulled over the idea for several days. Took a good look at my collection and decided that i would sell some of my CDs to fund this new boxset. It does seem like the ultimate collection. I really wanted it as soon as it was announced. I made the amount required last weekend and pre-ordered the second that I did. Now i just can't wait for it to be released...... I have the Franklin Mint masters set...does that count? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/LSHIC.gif)

Although the CADS left out cd#31 (Rockin' Rebel) from the set. After a nice friendly and "strongly worded" phone conversation with them, they have the disc on the way to me now. You'd think for as much as the item costs they'd triple check to ensure all cd's were included (IMG:style_emoticons/default/whistling.gif)

Would love to get it, but it is just way too much for me. I'll just try to concentrate of the FTD's, but even that, regrettably, is getting a bit costly.

Looking forward to this purchase, trying to locate the better price first but man I wish they would include some real limited photos of the King and package it with a supreme collection status

Best,

This set is nearly £600.
Too much but would they sell this collection like Original Elvis Collection.
It would be easier to buy that way.

There should be a book included yes...

I for one have to pass on this set.
Way to expensive...

Maybe in time i will get a used one or the Franklin Mint set, same masters.

But i have to pass for now, it's to costly to keep up with FTD,Sony and imports already..
And i guess in time, FTD or Sony will have the same remasters on past and future cd's.. so...
But for the ones that will buy it, congrats!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif)

I'll bet it will be around his birthday....
I really believe that they pushed this box ahead, to get all the attention to the Viva Elvis album and that this box (in smaller form) will sold at the retail shops for much less than this deluxe version.
Only wish that i could get this boxset, but the situation i'm in the last months, i can't even afford a budget release...

I don't mind if they do or not. This was/is expensive. Probably too much so. But it should be guaranteed to be a true collectors item whatever happens. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/undecided.gif)
