It surely is Gordon. It's always nice, for me anyway, to listen to a show we have on soundboard in audience recorded quality. This is how the people in attendance heard him that night. What amazes me the most is that the pacing of the show is quite fast, unlike many other 1977 performances.

the versions on LP/CD " Moody blue " are overdubbed with instruments / backing vocals or excisting instruments were re-recorded.

indeed...a fantastic show you would not really expect to have in that period.

However I noticed something strange.

besides the fact the the intros are cut from before to part of Early Morning Rain... between some songs there seems to be a cut....maybe that's why there is not much talking going on??

Haven't noticed that Gordon. I didn't listen to this concert with my headphones on as I usually do. It could be there are indeed some edits, could also very well be that the tape recorder had some problems or that the tape has detoriated.

Will give it a listen soon and let you know what I think. Could you tell me between which songs this occurs ? (and we also have the soundboard to compare it with!)

i only had a superficial listen to the concert (ie i didn't pay much attention as i was doing something else)

so i'll try to pin point some instances

i could only pin point two instances besides the part before Early Morning Rain:

teddybear/don't be cruel - helpme
hail hail rock n roll - hurt

the same label (From fans to fans) released in october 1994 with the same layout the concert in Savannah - 17 feb. 1977.

I doubt that the second release (Ann Arbor 24-04-77) comes four years later;
as far as I know it's released around 1995 (I'm not sure because I have no more information).

however in the early years of this century turned up a better audience tape from the 24-04-77 concert; it's nice to have to concert complete because in this period soundboards are not complete.
