Well Santa has come and gone for 2005 so please let everyone know what Elvis goodies you recieved for being a good boy/girl this year.
I was lucky enough to get the official EPE calendar along with 2 dvd's these being "The King Of Spades" and "Elvis Bright Lights Big City" both of which contain 8mm film of E in concert which I highly recommend if you don't already have them.I have the material on video already but it's in much better quality on the dvd's.
So c'mon what did you get that will make everyone else jealous?

with on front the colorpic from the Mad Sq Garden press conference...
It's a bit yellow, but who cares.....this made my day......

i got the aloha dvd, and abook called Elvis-commemorative edition. its the best book i have. it has rare pics, original articles, and magazine covers, plus, the cover is bound in blue suede velvet, which is lovely to touch

one of the rare pics it has is, i'm pretty sure, Elvis being held from a fight in 1956. he has this determined look on his face. its pretty cool

Scott, I received the same book, I like it too, it covers Elvis's full life and after his death, 320 pages, it is full of newspaper clipping of the day, very interesting read to see what was being printed about different topics and read reviews of his shows, some good pics too.

Hope you guys can read this sample page.

Thanks for the scan Meme - looks like a fine book.
I've heard the story of the fight of course, but I didn't know there was a picture to document it.

Bama. Don't worrie. It's difficult for none Elvis-fans to find something interesting. I got one thing of Elvis for Christmas and my birthday. I little pic. of Elvis in a tiny holder, but I loved it. The guys played a joke on me, you see. I first got that pic. and then something entyerly different that I can't ,mension. It was something I could use if I was thinking too much of Elvis and would get hot. Lol.
By the way, I envy you guys with your present, for here in the Netherlands it's difficult to get such precious present of Elvis. Although I must say I gave myself a present. Lol. A plate and cup with a beautiful pic of Elvis on it. I bought my friend, who's an Elvis-fan too, the same and I know she likes it, because she saw the one I have and was overwellemed. She asked me: where did you get it. didn't you buy one for me etc. And I had to laugh. I am sure she knows what she gets, because we have the same thoughts. But first I teas here a bit in a funny way.

Be safe and take care,

Christel (TCE)
