I have only had the opportunity to listen to this a couple of times. But i have to say...its a fantastic release. The alternate takes are fantastic to hear....great versions...and the original session mixes sound great. Elvis' voice sounds so much better without all the overdubs. Very cool to have....and very much recommended listening.

On first view i was suprised that they included the 6363 material....but when you put it all together its a great 2 cd set that you can just play. If you haven't got it....maybe thought you'd pass on it...please do yourself a favour....buy it...you won't regret it (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/cheers.gif)

I'm going to the Elvis Unlimited shop and museum tomorrow, so I hope to pick this one up along with the "All Shook Up" FTD. (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/woohoo.gif)

Thanks for the observations of the TODAY album. I really liked the album when it was originally released. My new copy is in the mail to my house. Can't wait to hear it. (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/woohoo.gif)

I don't care for the mix on the original 10 album tracks, but otherwise this is a fine release.

What a truly great cdset!!!! (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/notworthy2.gif)

Has totally opened my eyes again to Elvis' work in the studio in the later 70's.

Literally awesome songs like A Woman Without Love, Bringing It Back, I Can Help, Pieces Of My Life, THis has to be in my top five favorite FTD's! One of my favorite albums of all time and my favorite time period for Elvis's voice. Great FTD release that shows that vocally Elvis was still tops.

Susan when she tried

The master is edited and faded; on FTD Today CD 2 track 5 you hear a vocal mistake on the original session mix at 2:13 (backup singer goes wrong).
