There are countless versions of this, mostly incomplete or just on cdr.
What Madison does here is putting it all together combined with a great booklet.
The sound is very good considering the source.
The 1970 suffer somtimes from mike overload.
Madison worked hard to get this almost away.
Very good cd,outstanding show!!

At the moment, the cd gets his third spin in a row!! notworthy2.gif

I only have one Madison CD, Totally Stung, which is GREAT........Just listening to the sample Chris posted for this one......Feb '70 is my favorite Vegas engagemnt......Is this a soundboard or audience recording? Sounds like it might be an audience recording to me.....Elvis and the band sound very distant in the clip.

Anyone know for certain?

Not the best around, but certainly needs to be heard!!

And It just can't get better,or it must come from the BMG vaults.
What Madison did here was make poor sounding sounboard tapes better to listen, make it one show.
I advice this strongly, and i'm sure youll love it Barry.

PS.The Houston bonus interview is a real hoot!!

Great to see you Bazza giving some love towards Elvis' work from the 1970's.

I must say January, Febuary 1970 Las Vegas Stand is probably my favorite as well buddy. I have this cd just have yet to give it a spin. Seems like Johan stated alot of the 1970 shows have a problem with mike overload it seems.

The tracklisting looks to be an essential though! Gotta find some time and play this one for sure!

i believe this is yet the best of this performance that we have had, and are going to get and a great booklet/insert as always , the mic overload at times is disturbing but i can deal with that.

The closing concert was re-released on several other CD's through the years including recently on FTD.
