Got my copy of this recently and am THRILLED with it........All of Elvis' early 60's Nashville Studio B Sessions hold up beautifully......Simply TIMELESS!!!!

Just before take 4 of You'll be gone (disc 2 track 11) Elvis sings a few lines of South of the border.

The original version of this songs was recorded on 05-05-39 by Billy Cotton Band (Rex 9547).

Other versions recorded in 1939 are:

The versions by Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra f.e. are entering my mind. (And even them recorded it more than once)
