New haven 76 looks and sounds very good.
The artwork for this is so much better when holding in hands instead of the preview on the net.
The sound is very good, almost on the same level as the outstanding sounding "Fort baxter" show the day after.

As for the contents..well it's in the same league too..
Elvis sounds very tired, sometimes unsteady but he's in great spirits.
He's trying so hard to please the people,he's enjoying himself too...but this guy should have taken a rest..
There are some (very) fine moments like YGMAM or the "Hawaiian wedding song",but overall this is a standard concert.
We can ofcourse compare to other shows, and i would give anything to witness this show in reality, but i've heard better..
This is my honest opinion.
One thing:this show is not bad,i've never heard a bad one from Elvis before, and this one is also decent.

In a way, still, i'm happy with it,it's a totally "new" show to us collectors,in very fine sound.
And FTD is for collectors..that's why i'm still happy they released this one, even if it's our guy in lesser form.

Ernst destroyed the bonus track - Return To Sender.
The sound level is not the same as on the main show. The last track is so quiet that it's barely audible.

I really like this release and I enjoy the concert. I agree that Elvis sounds like he is in a great mood and the show has a nice flow to it. I like Funny How Time.... being changed and Hawaiian Wedding Song included. While his voice may not have been very "strong" at this point in 1976 for what ever reason, it is still a nice show. Good packaging by FTD on this one as well!
