the CD has a very good sound for an audience recording;

It's also a pretty strong show too.

Matinee show where in general not as strong as evening performances, but this show is different.
"Hurt" blows of the roof!!
The adition of "Help me" is a nice tought.

This is indeed a mighty fine show with Elvis in strong vocals and an equally strong mood. I listen to this show on a regular basis.

It's a shame this cd and show is overlooked.
It's general thrown on one pile with others..
Heard about this: "Straight cdr copy/poor show:Poor sound..."

It may be a copy of a cdr(don't have that one) and the artwork could be better, but as said before, this IS a good show in GOOD sound.
It's one i play often cause it's that good.

If Straight arrow would release the same thing the reviews could be much better i guess.
Now this "Teenager" label had 4 releases (Another night in Tahoe,Burning Vegas dow,Fast movin and this one) and all are very decent soundrecordings from good shows.
But they are not that well known...
A shame, these are fan releases that are already counterfeited afterwards by other major labels like Memory and Audionics.

Fact:This show is original on shiny disc on this label and very entertaining!!

It's a long time since I've listened these show
But it's a good show with a great sound!
Elvis did also a full reprise on 'Hurt'
The other cd titles that Johan mentioned have indeed a good sound.

It's a fine show Pieter.
One that is too much overlooked. thumbup.gif

The evening show is out too...so the cover says..
By listening to it it's a rip off from the "Hurt" Charleston 76 cd...
What a dissapointment...was hoping for the real Largo es show.. sad.gif
In "The concert years" book it's been said that the ES is better then the matinee...
So i wonder how good that may be... undecided.gif

I wonder if someone knows more about it...

Update two!!

Listened to the evening show and yes,it's the same high level Elvis is performing!!
Great,great show!!

The soundquality is less on this, but still good enough to hear, let's call it a bit above average.
Note also the strange place "Polk sallad" has in the line up,Elvis is already rounding up the show and does it by special request!
Cool stuff!!
Also the "Hurt" second reprise is one of the most impressive ever heard!! notworthy.gif

The Largo audience had two wonderfull shows...no doubt about that!! notworthy2.gif

A very enjoyable show especially in the infamous summer era from 1976...with Elvis in a good mood.
I have heard shows with a better sound.. but a also a lot with worse sound.

Indeed an unusual placement of PSA Johan, and the only three other times he performed that song before CHFIL (as far as I recall right now) are Las Vegas, September 3rd 1973 DS / Fayetville, August 2nd 1976 and Johnson City, February 19th 1977.
