I'm working with XP; I know it is no longer supported by Microsoft after april 2014.
I have to switch to Windows 7 then and I have to buy some other programs that work now on XP only.

Windows XP is the best operating system that Microsoft ever made. 2001 to 2014 but still has support or I think a year or two. Something like that. Vista was the worst along with ME. Vista had to many tech issues with it and still has and it has support for a couple of more years. Windows 7 was like vista but no problems at all. Maybe a problem here and there but nothing like Vista had. As for Windows 8, it has problems with it. People can't get use to the way it looks. Start Menu starts up first then go to Desktop and so on. Windows 8.1 added the start menu to the taskbar and corrected alot of the problems that 8 had. Over all, 8.1 is good when you get used to it. I am using it right now as a matter of fact. To me, I have no problem with it. But others will. Which I recommend Windows 7. If you have any kind of problems with Windows 8 or 8.1, Let me know. I can help all that I can for you.

Unless you know a few secrets then you don't have to spend any money ;)
