Right now I am listening to the 3-CD set of That's the Way It Is 30th Anniversary Edition. What a great listening experience. Elvis' voice was so amazing at this time in his career. He was really committed to this musical project. Absolute joy to listen to this beauty!

That's a good day of listening pleasure. Elvis at his absolute best, IMHO. Relax and enjoy!!! I just might do the same sometime during my holiday break. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon2.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piano.gif)

I'm playing a homemade CDR with "rareties"; tracks with count-in while on FTD or another release this count-in is missing.

I'm playing now a home made CDR with original versions of songs recorded by Elvis; these are not the first versions but all recorded beforeElvis did his version.

Just listened to the 2 concerts from the FTD Murfreesboro release. Two incredible shows in great sound.

Right now listening to the FTD release from July 4, 1976. A good show performed by Elvis that afternoon in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Elvis Presley - Ain't That Loving You Baby

I love so much this song!
Can someone tell me if this is a first version?
Is the original version? I don't like the fast version.

"Ain't That Loving You Baby" was originally recorded by Elvis in 1958, June 10, 1958 to be exact. He recorded several versions of this sing. It wasn't released as a single until September 1964, the flip side being the song "Ask Me." Take #4 is the master take of the song. It has been featured on a number of albums, Elvis' Golden Records Volume 4 being the first time it appeared on an album.

If you go the FTD album of "50,000,000 Elvis Fans Can't Be Wrong," they feature all of the takes of this song. A really fun song by Elvis. Hope this is helpful.

Hi Melanie,

Hope you are well. The FTD "50,000,000 Elvis Fans Can't Be Wrong" is a 2 CD set. The complete takes of "Ain't That Loving You Baby" are tracks 24 through 34 on disk one.
As far as I can tell the version you feature in your post is the original "master" version. That particular version is actually Take 4 from the original recording session.
I hope that is helpful. Take care.

I found this album on You Tube, but I found only the volume 2. I don't remember If I downloaded this album at the time of the megaupload site. Your information is very important to me. I love hearing the original Elvis recordings. I prefer the first versions of the songs.
You helped me a lot, M-M. Have a wonderful weekend, M-M! Thank you so much and kisses from Brazil!
