I know you haven't asked for this... but as I have it Scanned.. and maybe other members will find it of Interest..
Issued to RCA for sales IN 1977 (?) actually the Auction house has this wrong as it includes VINYL, CD and Cassette Sales. which as we know COMPACT DISCS had yet to be invented for Sale.. which would indicate this is for Additional Sales in the *80s-90s (?) Music Memorabilia "Auction" "Moody Blue" Gold Album Award. Presented to RCA to commemorate the sale of more than 500,000 copies of the 1977 album. In excellent condition. The last Elvis album released in his lifetime -- it was issued two months before he passed -- the album sold moderately well until Presley died, then it soared up the charts to number three and ultimately sold two million copies. Final Bid = $1,553.50 (includes BP ) Bid Source: Live: Phone Auction Ended: October 7, 2005 FRAMED AWARD (For CD~TAPE~VINYL) + LABEL + RIAA

At the same time as MOODY BLUE RCA was having to re-issue/re-press dozens of Back Catalogue Elvis Albums... and many of these also got the COLOURED VINYL Treatment... very small limited copies, produced for a small number of RCA executives -- Like.....
Elvis Presley Blue Hawaii Blue Vinyl Stereo LP (RCA 2426, 1977). BLUE VINYL Elvis' all-time biggest Billboard album was Blue Hawaii, released in 1961. Jerry Osborne's Presleyana describes this blue vinyl version from 1977 as "experimental pressing only, not intended for sale or distribution." Proof that there weren't many produced is that it didn't even come with a cover. But you want to keep it in something more colorful than a plain white sleeve, so we're including a nice commercial cover in VG-EX 6. The disc is blue-ming pristine! Condition: MT 9. have scans of this and a few others.... (if you need them?) -------------------- |

hello rex
is it possible that you add a scan to the US single and US album section with your comments; it keeps this section upgraded. colonel snow -------------------- |
