I did some research on the net to see what there was about my small country (which could well be the size of your suburb) and my village.
Well i was enchanted to stumbled upon a few things which might be of interests to those of you who like to know about other places. So I live in Malta, centre of the Mediterranean Sea. My Village is in the deep south of the island - Birzebbuga is the name...any Brits who were stationed in Malta furing the British empire will know all aobut my village...it was practically their Maltese naval base. Stefan pointed me to a beautiful video, which captures the Cultural, historical and natural Beauty of Malta and Gozo (the sister island): The Spirit of Malta Check out the Maltese vintage Bus - a hilarious video about a ride you can get here for just 47 Euro cents...yes you heard that....that's the most common means of public transport here....we don't have/need trams or trains anymore - Try it...you won't regret it: Malta Bus Bruuuum Bruum The Heat Is On - a video almost entirely shot in my village back in summer 1993 - so you get to see what i used to see every day in the prime of summers as a child (Stefan - notice the buses were still painted green) - the area has had it's upgrades including a fantastic promenade, butthe rest is not much different now...and the heat is still on baby: The Heat Is On - Birzebbuga 1993 -------------------- I'd rather go on hearing your lies....than smell your armpits son

QUOTE (Gordon @ May 25 2007, 06:46 PM) I just watched your video. It must have been leave work time as they were all going back to the depot. We have a saying about buses in England. You wait all day for a bus then you get 3 in a row. Looked like you had 20 buses in a few minutes. (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/LSHIC.gif) (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/LSHIC.gif) Where you live photo's is very interesting. (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/undecided.gif) Sorry Gordon if I am in the wrong thread. -------------------- Frank

Frank, that is just outside the main bus terminus for the whole island...that is almost ALL the buses depart from that place to every town and village in Malta at 5, 10, 15 or 20 minute intervals. So you get around 30-50 buses leaving at the same time (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
