I know there's already a (long) thread where one can post their favorite pictures of Elvis. With this thread I like to focus only on the black and white pictures. Sometimes a black and white picture is more beautifull than the color ones. It's like mono vs stereo 
Please post your favorite b&w pictures here and if possible please put some info to go with it. Also I would like to ask everyone to not post more than 3 pictures at a time for better viewing pleasure of this tread.

I'll kick this off with the following pictures:
This 1956 picture captures Elvis in a serious and 'thinking' mood. Reminds me a bit of the '72 On Tour limosine footage !
A great picture of Elvis and Priscilla at their wedding reception on May 1st 1967.
One of my alltime favorite pictures from Aloha From Hawaii. Just beautifull.

When the photographer knows what he/she's doing and b&w pictures are taken at the exact right moment (pose/angle etc.), there's something magical and/or mysterious about them that's missing on majority of colour pictures. ..... I especially like the ones that has some "shadow play" going on... by that I mean kind of like "artsy-fartsy" pictures. I think these two shots illustrate my point perfectly... quite beautiful snaps.

In the first volumes of the Tunzi books almost all pics are B/W...
Stunning press pics are among them..
Also the Wertheimer collection is outstanding.
But my favorite B/W graced my favorite lp cover..
The contrast is great!!

great little montage Vegas74..I think Elvis was halfway through singing Suspicious Minds when that famous picture was taken..

Thanks for that cool 50s picture, Dennis. I think you're right about the date too... it was most likely taken during one of the Florida shows on August 10-11, 1956.
Here's a couple more cool "shadow" pictures... the quality is not the best but I'm sure everyone gets the idea. ..... I bet these would look brilliant straight from the negatives, framed on the wall... especially the first one!

Here's also a real classic... I thought I had the original picture but nope... remembered wrong. So if anyone has, feel free to post it.
