I have been told that the Vinyl "Command Performances" has superior sound. This CD includes more tracks however. I Don't have the orginal release myself, it is rather hard to get by these days. I have a friend who owns the second pressing, and i must say that for the age the sound on these audience recorded tracks are very nice. The first Pressing cover hails from Kennys site. I think i have posted this CD here before???(Or am i going nuts) -------------------- The outer limit of your potential is determined solely by your own beliefs and your own confidence in what you think is possible |

addition:
the LP " Command perfomances" was released for the first time in june 1978 (label ECP 101). The cover has in the right upper corner an open invitation with photograph. The second pressing has the invitation printed (released around 1980). The LP contains no tracks 17 till 22 as on this CD. Tracks 17 till 22 originates from 2 EP set " Never been to Spain " released around 1978 (with no label). The tracks 17 till 22 can be found on 2 LP Vegas years too. The sound of the first pressing is excellent. Tracks 17 till 22 are in excellent quality on the EP set. The second and more pressing are in less quality and I believe that the CD is taken from the second or later pressing. when this LP was released none of the live versions were released by RCA/BMG; the release was very welcome for collectors at the time. later on all tracks can be found on several import LP's/CD's. by the way>>> Reconsider baby is from the afternoon show colonel snow -------------------- |
