20 Closing Vamp

the little part of 2001 is taken from Cincinnati, March 21 1976.
Why they decided to put a little part of 2001 before amen is a mystery to me.
Anyway this release shows that Elvis had a strong voice in 76. Higlight: Burning Love.

One of my favourites from 1976. Everyone always raves about the Late '76 shows and rightly so...they are terrific (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/00000407.gif) , but i would always recommend this show also.

Elvis in very good form....and excellent sound. Great 1976 show (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/00000407.gif)

Funny, In How great thou art interupted Elvis the song and asks the drummer if he could roll the drums a little harder :-)

Mistakes can happen. Still a good show (certainly when compared to the afternoon performace, but that's a another storry .....)

Probably the worst version of Teddy Bear / Don't Be Cruel ever .. don't know who screws it up more: Elvis or the band (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/laughing1.gif) (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/laughing1.gif)

Burning Love is indeed a highlight and possibly one of the best versions I've ever heard him do. For once he gets the lyric right (that same afternoon he false started the song more than 1 time) and the tempo is quite good too. A brilliant version in stereo (as is the whole cd) with a great James Burton.

indeed an above average show...you would wonder if it's really Elvis in '76 (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Burning Love is certainly brilliant, unlike the Teddy Bear/Don't Be Cruel medley!

At NRD, you'll find the best alt.cover ever made for this release! (Excellent work Chris (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/clap.gif) )

The song I like most from this show is "Let Me Be There". Don't know exactly why it thrills me so much, but I really like the way he sang it there, especially the last verse.

I agree guys, this is a great show, especially coming from 1976. The version of Burning Love is simply awesome, one of the best versions done for sure. James Burton's guitar on it sounds amazing, the whole show is very good all the way around expect for the TeddyBear/Don't Be Cruel, but other than that a great show indeed. Another good performance from this concert is How Great Thou Art, it kicks but .

Another thing cool about this concert is the tracklist, they are all great songs, different, kind of refreshing you have the oldies, gospel, country, just an awesome cd all around, I would for sure recommend this cd to all Elvis fans .
