Didn't think we had. Recieved mine Saturday, and first impressions were very good. The sound isn't the best - but ok, but i do like the show and bonus songs. Some nice versions, and a couple of rare live performances also. Nice release IMO and recommended buying -------------------- Regards Shaun

it's a pity to say but the concert is not complete; Killing me softly was sung by Voice after Polk salad Annie and it is edited out.
on other FTD solos by Kathy Westmoreland & Sheriel Nielsen were left out too. colonel snow -------------------- |

besides the well known one liners in the medley I found my thrill the next rareties can be found:
- Blue monday - original by Smiley Lewis in 1954; another well know version is recorded by Fats Domino a few years later. - Does your chewing gum loose its flavour on the bed post overnight (indeed a song!) - recorded by Lonnie Donnegan in 1959 . colonel snow -------------------- |

I usually don't purchase 70's FTD concert releases but this is one I must have. First and foremost for track 20, I heard them play it on Sirius Elvis Radio the other day and to hear Elvis break into My Baby Left Me in 1974 attempting to sound like 56 was amazing. I wish there were more 70's concert outakes such as this, simply brilliant.

I agree, they should do that more often. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- On the whole, the concert featured on this release is quite good and show that Elvis was still growing as an entertainer/singer by 1974. Highlights for me are You've Lost That Loving Feeling (amazingly 1970 like), Help Me, My Baby Left Me, Trying To Get To You (love that piano) and the I Found My Thrill medley. -------------------- "How do I get placed in situations like this? Ah hell, I guess it's all part of showbusiness "~ Elvis in his limo on his way to perform in Omaha, NE on June 19th 1977

I really like this release. The concert is really a good one and Elvis is sounding really good. I also like the medley that FTD pieced together.

Listened to this in the car yesterday and its fantastic! The "mix" is imperfect even to my untrained ears but I loved that because I do love bass and it is heavy on this.
And, "My Baby Left Me" - FANTASTIC! In the car I couldn't hear him mumble "I'd like to do it in the voice I did it in then" but as soon as he started I looked at my car stereo and went "wow!" Now I am listening to it on my PC and just heard him say that and feel a little satisfied glow that I knew that's what he was doing even before he said it and thinking "great Elvis, great, great, great!" What an entertainer, he could even imitate himself!!! -------------------- |

You've lost that love and feeling was probably the highlight for me on this cd, the drums right before Elvis goes into "baby, I get down on my knees for you", I love tutts drum line on that, awesome version, in the same category as those from 1970! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/notworthy.gif)

Revisiting this cd... it was a long time since i played it and i enjoyed it
VERY much!! Outstanding version of "The first time", extended fun with "Sweet Caroline" and rockin' trough "My baby left me". Also the bonus songs (audience recorded) are from a good quality.. I do hope FTD has another SB in their vaults from this season, Elvis is in fine form!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/notworthy.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/notworthy.gif) -------------------- |
